What a difference a year makes.

By Ugoretz

So, back in October 2006, Casey was playing with an old cell phone of ours, pretending to have a conversation. We took a movie of it:

Pretty funny, the way a two-and-a-half-year-old interprets adult conversation.

Flash foward a year and a few months, to Decmber 2007. Casey is now 3 years and 10 months. By now he talks on the phone for real, when he’s inclined, but I caught him pretending again:

It’s pretty amazing how much clearer his speech is. We knew this, but comparing it side-by-side like this was a real eye-opener. This also shows that stammering, searching for words toddler speech that can be so funny. I don’t think he’s really searching for the right words, I think his mouth can’t quite keep up with his brain.

Time really flies…
